A primary goal of our church
is to encourage each
member to experience true Communion -- both with God and with
other believers. Thus, every member
of the
church is encouraged to attend a GIFT Group (Growing in Faith Together).
Our communion deepens as we
grow in the knowledge of the Word, learn to apply it to daily
living, and fellowship and serve with other believers. It's all about
mutual encouragement and accountability. The small, intimate settings
provide a great forum for frank discussion, regular prayer, and the
development of lifelong friendships. Weekly - Wednesday
Night -- Seeking a new venue... - Women of the Word -- Our women meet on the last Saturday morning of the month @ 8:45 at the Corner Bakery in the Irvine/Tustin Marketplace for fellowship, prayer, and devotions. - R&GB -- The gathering for young adults who are single and recently married. It's a fellowship time devoted to spiritual renewal based upon the worship of God and the study of His word. This group meets on the first Sunday night of every Sunday. - Family Matters -- Meets on the second Sunday of the month and meets for Bible study with a focus on the raising of young children. - Flyers -- Meets on the third Sunday of the month and is a group made up of those who are beyond the "child raising years." - Men's
Mandate Meeting -- Our men meet on
select dates for the theological,
athletic, or for service. (Occasional trips to the desert
for "manly" things!) Seasonal - Sunday Afternoons -- Inquirer's Class -- Those interested in learning about the Christian faith, or about our church or our goals as a church are invited to this afternoon discussion time. Classes are offered on select Sundays, and will be advertized on the website and our Sunday worship folders. Call the church office for specifics (714) 345-0952 - Sunday Evening -- Communion Choir @ select Sunday's (check out our newsletter for specifics). This group presents a rehearsed offering every month, and prepares multiple pieces for the seasons of Christmas, Resurrection Day, and Reformation Sunday. This is a very rewarding fellowship. Everyone is invited to join in! - Fellowship of the Ring of Fire @ Moorlach's Home (see Newsletter) (Weather permitting) - Serve
Day is
a coordinated effort of thousands of volunteers from multiple
local churches reaching out in service to their community. Our
church is a participant in this year's Serve Day -- July 25,
2009. Visit the Serve
Day website, and join our Serve Day team, all
by visiting our home page. - Reformation Sunday is our unique celebration of the Protestant Reformation which started in Germany in 1517 with Martin Luther. It is a day of historic observance, lessons, and family fun -- it happens on the last Sunday of October. - Christmas Eve Carols & Lessons is an evening service of singing and reading about the Christmas story. This is a wonderful evening to reflect on the significance of Christmas for the entire family. - Founders Dinner is an evening of celebration for the entire congregation and for all who suport our ministry. On this night we enjoy a catered meal and hear presentations on our past year of activity and set goals for the New Year. - Palm Sunday is the weekend we celebrate our Anniversary. Our fellowship was launched on Palm Sunday 2006, and this is the day that we recall God's faifhfulness to us -- complete with cake and ice cream! - Good Friday Seder Service is an evening program that celebrates the annual observance of Passover as a "teaching meal." This meal was observed by Jesus and his disciples just prior to his arrest and crucifixion which is celebrated on Good Friday. - Wild Water Wednesdays is our summer "mom's and youngin's" weekly VBS experience. These weekly meetings begin in July and include swimming, fountain play, beach trips, with Bible lessons, crafts, and snacks. Learn more by reading our Newsletter in the summer or contacting Stephanie. - Men's and Women's Retreats are annual weekends away in the Fall providing dedicated times to gather with fellow saints to better understand God's word and our role in His world.
